WELCOME TO OUR
CHRISTMAS DIVERSI-TREES
As part of celebrating the Christmas Season, we would like to invite our members and their friends from all the communities represented in our congregations to set up their special Christmas Trees for display for the entire Season.
The mechanics is as follows:
- Each particular ethnic/language or cultural community can set up at least one Christmas Tree and would be displayed in designated areas/spots in the Jennings Hall.
- Each tree is envisioned to be an expression of “what Christmas means” to each particular ethnic/cultural community.
- Participants are encouraged to use materials indigenous to their countries of origin and decorate these with hangings or lights or symbols describing their cultures and expressing their hopes and aspirations for their country, for Australia and the world.
- The trees should be ready for lighting and presentation on the 15th of December at 6:30pm before the Carols by Candlelight.
- During the presentation and lighting, a representative would introduce their tree/s and what it stands for, then it will be lighted, and a verse of a carol would be sung before proceeding to the next tree.
- This string of presentations, lighting, and carols will serve as the prelude to and procession for the Carols by Candlelight at 7:00pm.
- For inquiries, kindly contact our Minister and members of our Church Council.
Thank you very much for your participation.
