Diya
Diya is the sacred symbol of our International Fellowship Consultation. Diya is an Indian version or a counter part of the lighted candle. Diya symbolize light. Jesus said, I’m the light of the world. (John 8:12)
Jesus also said, you are the light of the world. (Mathew 5:14) Let your light so shine before man that they may see your good work and glorify your Father in heaven. Jesus wants us to walk in the light so that our lives are honest, clean and dedicated.
During the performance of Diya ceremony, we are reminded of four aspect of our Christian life.
IDENTITY- Diya reminds us our identity as a Hindi Speaking Fellowship.
COMMITMENT-It is our assumption that all people who attend our Fellowship are people who are committed to our land of Jesus Christ. It is only commitment that we can live a victorious Christian life.
UNITY- Christians must put aside all that divides them and be together in unity and harmony. unity is of God and it brings blessings.
CONTINUITY-Our Fellowship must grow, expand and reach out. Our Christian lives must be deepened and strengthened as we move on to the future. may we all work together for the extension of his kingdom.
‘We pray the mighty Lord strengthens us to keep the Diya glowing and don’t let it diminish, but let the wax glow brighter and brighter in the years to come’.
